On the 10th episode, Anthony and Al discuss whether the movie "Lord of War" from 2005 is worth rewatching or not!
What do you remember about "Lord of War"? Did you see it in the theaters back then? This modern day drama about an arms dealer came out on the tail of the Iraq War and was quite hard-hitting. Nicholas Cage, Ethan Hawke, and Jared Leto all star in this gritty film but how does it fare on the rewatch?
How does this movie hold up? What did the critics say back then? With all the new movies and TV shows nowadays, should you put all that aside and watch this Nick Cage drama again?
All these questions answered and more on this episode of "Worth A Rewatch?"
Check out the trailer below as the first "rewatch"!
Horrible movie. Horrible narrating from Cagey boy. Jarrod Leto was so useless it was scary. Their names were so stupid, their back stories were so stupid, the characters were pushing so hard to be something they couldn't be was so $h%t what the f#$@ did I just watch I'm going to peel my eyes out now. The part where he snorts coke and gun powder then runs around was probably the weirdest worst scene the world has ever seen. What the f#$% was the director thinking what a joke

Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer
The moral message of this movie is tailored for teenage girls. The storytelling is for third grade kids. All in all, it's a movie for people with perfectly boring and sheltered lives, not having any better to do than being upset about how the world works, and watch it in horror.
Everything is perfectly predictable. You can tell which character will die. You can tell the car will blow up. You can tell that she will learn the secret one day, and even prepare a bingo card for the dialogue. The parts which aren't predictable are simply stupid.
Making a movie featuring millions of weapons, without knowing a single thing about them, was a terrible idea. At least *try* to make it believable! At least do your effing research on what is what, and what isn't! Excuse me while I fill the "Goofs" section.
Bottom line, if you enjoyed this movie, then you have a dull life. Sorry, just a fact of life.

It's praised for its strong performances, particularly Nicolas Cage's, and its compelling exploration of the arms trade, offering a dark and cynical perspective. The movie's themes and commentary on war and violence remain relevant, and its engaging narrative makes it a rewatchable experience.
