If there is one thing I didn't like about this movie, it is that I didn't see it sooner. Now that I have actually watched it, I realize why people consider it one of the greats, which I also now agree with. The storytelling was captivating, the character development was profound, and the cinematography was nothing short of stunning. Every scene felt meticulously crafted, pulling me deeper into the narrative. It's the kind of film that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll, making me appreciate the artistry behind it even more.

Watching for the first time in 2021, I was hoping that Robocop would hold up over time. There isn't much to the story, but that shouldn't stop it from being entertaining. I didn't really care that much about Robocop or any of the other characters. I hoped maybe the bad guys would be entertaining, but they weren't for me. And I thought the action was fairly lame. I was disappointed for a movie with a reputation like this one.

especially for its sharp satire, iconic action, and tragic hero narrative, while sequels like RoboCop 2 offer more of the same gritty world with mixed results, and the 2014 remake provides modern visuals but less punch, though fans generally agree the original remains a classic sci-fi staple.
